How it works: The Microcell System

There are different cell types for different sample types. You can prepare the cells independently from the cell stand, e.g. in a glove-box. The cells are then plugged into the cell stand. This establishes the temperature read-out and control via a peltier element in the cell-stand and a temperature sensor in the measuring cell.
The system combines multiple advantages:
- Precise sensing of the temperature as near to the sample as possible
- Reduced complexity and cost since multiple cells use the same active Peltier heating/cooling system
- Cells in a handy size for easy preparation independent of the location of the cell stand
- Ability to prepare new additional cells while a measurement is running
